Turnip
If you’re using a device with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (like the Galaxy S23, OnePlus 11, or RedMagic 8 Pro), you have the Adreno 740 GPU, a beast of a chip. However, if you’ve tried running high-end emulators like Eden, Citron, or Winlator, you might have seen weird “rainbow” textures, flickering shadows, or games that simply won’t boot.
The culprit isn’t your phone; it’s the official Qualcomm driver. To fix it, you need the Mesa Turnip Driver.
Think of a driver as a translator between the game and your hardware.
Drivers are updated constantly. For the Adreno 740 in 2026, you want the Mesa v25 or v26 series.
Turnip-v26.0.0_R7.adpkg.zip.Current Recommendation: As of early 2026, Turnip v26.0.0 Revision 7 is a community favorite for stability on the Adreno 7xx series.
The best part about modern Android emulation is that you don’t need root. You can swap drivers right inside the apps.
